1) The Happiness Kit’s Publication Update
The Happiness Kit is almost ready to send off to a publisher. The Spring newsletter will hopefully say The Kit’s been accepted by a publisher who cares as much about spreading happiness as I do, and that I can give you a publication date.
Keep an eye on my website blog for news, happiness articles, and contests. I’m also on Face Book as Janine Rowe, and, as “The Happiness Kit Group.”
2) My Article has been published in Farmwatch
Suicide Prevention of Australia’s Farmwatch Journal, containing my article ‘A Helping Hand to Happiness’ is in the process of being distributed to Tasmanian and Victorian organizations, newsagents, and ‘Aussie Helpers’. I have an advance copy and I’m seriously impressed with the glossy magazine’s inspiring articles and down to earth information. It’s a real credit to the publishers, ‘Sensation Media’. I’ve accepted an offer to submit a second article for the next Farmwatch journal.

3) Something for you!
To be in the draw to win a great new book “Secrets of a Bullet Proof Spirit – 30 key strategies to bounce back from life’s hardest hits,” by Azim Khamisa and Jillian Quinn, simply send me an email via my website http://www.thehappinesskit.comby the 19th of June.
4) Website Freebies & a Great Hot Chocolate Recipe
My website now has three free information kits; How to Hold a Rural Field Day, and a Happiness Class, plus How to Create your own Peace Garden. Although you might want to wait until spring’s warmer weather to start turning over soil.
With winter’s frosty nights upon us, you may prefer to stay indoors and indulge in a big mug of hot chocolate. For a thoroughly decadent version, pour full cream milk into a saucepan, add squares of rich dark chocolate, a touch of vanilla, half a teaspoon of brown sugar and half of honey, and a cinnamon stick. You can add a dash of rum, if you like. Heat, and gently whisk until the chocolate melts. When hot enough, remove the cinnamon stick, pour the chocolate milk into a large mug and sprinkle generously with more grated chocolate. If you insist on being healthy, use skim milk.
Milk and chocolate both assist the body to produce Serotonin – the brain’s feel-good chemical, and, Cadbury now have a Fair Trade block, which means the third world workers who harvest the cocoa beans are paid a decent wage, instead of working as slave labour. So, you can indulge with a clear conscience.
5) A Quick Happiness Tip
When you are feeling down, close your eyes for a moment and think about someone you love with all your heart. Savour the feeling and let it grow and strengthen until you can imagine it’s beautiful energy flowing all through your body. Hold the loving feeling for as long as you want, and when you open your eyes you will feel much happier.

Sister Chan Khong an expatriate Vietnamese Buddhist nun and peace activist, says...
“If we worry about the big picture, we are powerless. So my secret is to start right away doing whatever little work I can do. I try to give joy to one person in the morning, and remove the suffering of one person in the afternoon … that is the secret. Start right now.”
Until next time,
With the very best of wishes,
(And remember to make the most of your day because it will only come once.)
Janine
