2."60 Fast Ways to Create Happiness"
|
|
|
 |
|
|
 |
1. Be playful and make a child laugh, their delight will
enchant you.
2. Surround yourself with happiness; subscribe to
happiness internet blogs and newsletters. Buy books
on 'how to be happy', watch comedies.
3. Enjoy nature - crisp, fresh sunrises, warm starry
nights, richly scented flower gardens. Appreciate
the quiet peacefulness of ancient trees, the sound
of river water rushing over smooth stones.
4. Take control of at least some part of your life, it's
fantastic for your self-esteem and sense of
happiness.
5. Keep your thoughts as positive as you can,
and never put yourself down, especially not to
make some-one else feel better about themselves.
Show them it's okay to be all you can be.
6. Create a personal happiness mantra, "I'm learning
to be happy." Repeat it twenty times a day for weeks
until you truly believe it.
7. Listen to bright music, especially songs from the
1960's. Latin American and Mexican music will lift
your spirits.
8. Wear brightly coloured, comfortable clothes.
9. Consider giving a forever home to a cat or dog,
especially a rescue animal. Animals love
unconditionally and bring such happiness with them.
10. Never give up trying to be happy. You can only
succeed if you keep going.
11. Find a happiness buddy, some-one else who wants to
enjoy life too. You will double the happiness and
support each other on your journey.
12. Hug people you love. Tell them how much they mean
to you and how glad you are to have them in your life.
13. Stick positive affirmations on your fridge, your place
of employment, and in your car to remind you to
focus on being happy.
14. Devote a full day to some-one you love. Let them
know how special they are to you.
15. Do something new. This day only comes once. Don't
waste it, it's too precious.
16. Slow down. Do less. Appreciate what you do more fully.
17. Smile. Today will pass whether you are happy or
annoyed. You choose.
18. Consider volunteering to deliver Meals on Wheels
to the housebound.
19. Most great Life Purposes involve helping others.
They are certainly the most rewarding. Find yours.
20. Eat only healthy food today. This is the only body
you have. Treat it kindly so it can serve you well.
21. Spend a few minutes each day in quiet contemplation.
Give your mind a chance to slow down.
22. Be inventive and do good deeds all day.
23. At least once a day do something nice for yourself,
you're worth it.
24. Write a mission statement on what you want to
achieve in your life, or even week by week.
25. Place a 'Welcome to our Happy House' sign on
your front door.
26. Keep a Happiness Journal. You can decorate it
with drawings and stickers if you like.
Write in it every day. Record your hopes and dreams
and how you can achieve them, what you are grateful
for in your life and what makes you happy.
27. Go for a 'Reward walk' once a day and enjoy nature.
28. Be playful whenever you get the chance.
29. Give some-one a surprise gift and delight in their
happiness.
30. Realise you are unique. There is no one just like
you on the planet.
31. Put Happy Face stickers on your letter box or
wheelie bin.
32. When you're feeling trapped, brainstorm ideas
on how you can make positive changes. Small
achievable steps lead to big changes.
33. When you are having a bad day, remind yourself it
will pass. Tomorrow will be brand new.
34. Step slightly out of your comfort zone and experience
something new. The feeling of success
can be exhilarating.
35. Eat healthy amounts of fish. New studies show
Omega three oils may reduce depression as well
as being good for your health.
36. When dealing with an awful event, or viewing it
on TV, instead of seeing the negative, ask yourself
what good might come out of it.
37. Learn a new skill.
38. Start a new hobby.
39. Be kind to shop assistants and those who serve you.
40. Pause, and count three of your best blessings.
41. Do a good deed and help some-one out.
42. Consider volunteering at an animal shelter.
43. Stop insisting you are right and give other people
a chance to be.
44. Look at whatever problem you're facing from the
other person's point of view.
45. Spend a few minutes a day in the peacefulness
of your garden. If you don't have a one,
admire other peoples' gardens as you walk past.
It's very soothing.
46. The greatest gift you can give some-one is to
accept them as they are, without judgment.
Accept yourself the same way.
47. Don't wait for some-one to save you. Be your
own hero and save yourself.
48. When you love what you do it brings a state of
happiness. If it involves helping some-one else,
the happiness is doubled.
49. Be proud to live an ordinary life.
50. Give genuine compliments frequently. You will feel
as good as the recipient.
51. If you feel anxiety building inside you, get busy,
throw yourself into a positive activity.
52. Take time to fully enjoy scents; fresh brewed
coffee, toffee ice-cream, sweet scented roses
warmed by the sun, and the clean tang of rain
freshened air.
53. Happiness essential oils are bergamot, rose,
orange and lavender. Blend one or two drops
with an appropriate oil base or use an oil burner
and allow the scent to drift through your home.
54. Give yourself a day or two off from reading the
newspaper and watching the news on TV, and
see how much better you feel. You can always
catch up on the news later.
55. When you feel swamped by a problem, pause
for a minute, and ask yourself if it will matter in
one year. If not, put it aside and make the most
of your day.
56. Listen to fun energized music.
57. Laugh everyday and as often as possible. Laughter
makes life brighter, lighter, and so much easier.
58. Crystals associated with happiness are amber,
citrine, gold and moonstone. Pop one in your pocket.
59. Choose one thing you're good and learn more about it.
60. Be kind to everyone you meet today. Kindness is
contagious.
